The system of the World is so badly broken that those who are responsible for steering this ship of fools have long let go of the rudder and retired to the lounge in the hopes that Mothership Earth will somehow coast through the mine-laden field of icebergs ahead unscathed.
Our world has sunk to the depth of the 9 levels of hell of depravity (need I illustrate?)and the powers that be are utterly flummoxed as to what to do about it. Here’s a suggestion. What are the most extreme powers at the U.S. President’s disposal when the very fabric of the American nation is being threatened from within with tacit support from both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court??? I am really starting believe (like deeply) that some kind of military overthrow of the U.S. government will ultimately be required if order is to be restored. The goal would be for a Cromwellian-inspired Regency to clear out the criminals and jail/execute them for treason and crimes against humanity (where applicable) followed by a thorough rethink of the World Economy based on ecological principals…even if that means slowing everything the fuck down so that us puny humans can have a moment to THINK for a change before we ACT. WE ARE, after all, LIVING IN OUR OWN SHIT. There is no polite way to say it. The mainstream media are going on about how the present remedies to the Global Economic Crisis could keep things humming along for awhile yet before the next big collapse but I’m not buying it for a second. Hell if I’m wrong.. well…I don’t have much to lose then do I? If those who refuse to wake up to reality are wrong.. they have EVERYTHING to lose…EVERYTHING…starting with their SANITY.
The Fed and Treasury have spent their extraordinary measures and it isn’t working.. The ECB is furtively splitting the hairs of sovereign debt default avoidance to no avail… This really is the Global Economy version of SPEED…if the economy slows below a certain threshold, the whole planet will explode!! Must keep the bus moving at all costs…
Well Mr. President, or whoever is lurking in the halls of power and waiting for your chance, NOW would be the time to get serious.
An overthrown of Congress by the President, backed by the U.S. military (he is the commander in chief after all!!) would obviously be unthinkably disruptive and would no doubt lead to a global rout…The World as we have come to know it since the end of WW1 would cease to exist and hopefully a better one would emerge. But don’t doubt for a second that war is on people’s minds and let’s face it, our backs are against the wall..big time. Given the weight that the U.S. throws around in global affairs, I fear that only a conflagration that threatens tearing the U.S. and the rest of the World asunder can do justice to the quagmire of corruption and outright EVIL that is choking the World to death across all jurisdictions.. I find it quite amusing that China has suddenly been reduced (or should I say elevated) to just another trading partner that we are competing with, trying to outsmart. Little is said about the fact that China is still very much a command and control economy where every position of influence across all domains of activity whether it be politics, finance, business, real estate, education, sports, municipal governance, you name it, the person responsible is appointed by the Communist party. And this country whose good grace we must maintain is last hope to keep the party going? If anything the present trend of aligning the American way with the Chinese way of doing business is likely to strengthen until what we are left with are competing versions of Totalitarian Market Capitalism. Nothing shocking here. Capital is just stuff that people own. It has no ideological imperative.
That is the elephant in the room. When government becomes so corrupt as to be painfully dysfunctional, history has time and time again demonstrated that an individual, or a handful of individuals step in and change the course of history… And when this occurs in multiple countries over a relatively short span of time in response to crisis, big trouble ensues. There is no shortage of examples in the 20th Century to inspire the burgeoning leaders of the 21st, however (ig)noble their intentions… And as much as many would like to think otherwise, the United States of America is not immune to human nature.
